On Monday, Leicester Crown Court learned communication data and evidence recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt consistently asking Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during 2023 and 2024.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported child disappearance cases and remains open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate voicemail, played in court, documented Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm overweight and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's voicemail stated: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I am she? What then? Wouldn't that be important for you?"

"I do not need money, I possess a life here in Poland, I only wish to know," the message continued.

The panel was told that by means of electronic messages, mobile messages and phone calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a effort to display a resemblance to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and claimed to have "flashbacks" from a early life with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with Leicestershire Police who compiled the evidence, advised the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to close associates of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann picked up a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "the wrong phone."

That day Ms Wandelt deposited a message on Mrs McCann's recording saying "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my point."

The court learned Mrs Spragg struck up a connection online with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' home in that area in last December.

Communication data revealed Mrs Spragg had communicated through messaging service to Mrs McCann to express the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the months leading up to the trip to Rothley, the county, in that winter.

The court was told correspondence between the two defendants, in that autumn, discussing trying to obtain Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from silverware at a eating establishment.

"We must take action," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the occasion of the trip to their residence, the defendant transmitted a text which said: "We are sat near the McCanns' house with our vehicle dark like detectives. I desired to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I hadn't anticipated I would be involved in this with the McCanns."

The case proceeds.
